AFRICAN GOATS

(Back to Blythmoor Nigerians)

My friend, Julie, recently travelled to EAST Africa to visit her son, who works with conservation projects in Tanzania. Julie took lots of pictures of East African goats for me. Our Nigerians are related to West African goats, but I think you'll see some similarities here -- and more pictures coming soon.

The ears are more Nubian looking.

I think she's sweet.

This is a Masai man, whose does came running out of the herd when he called them by name.

This curious doe is helping with the necklaces that are for sale.

This is the thorny enclosure inside the main enclosure (in background left) to secure livestock from predators.

And this is the predator wishing the goats weren't so well protected. Isn't her camoflauge good!

If you look closely, you can see the little birds grooming this giraffe.

Postcard perfect! Well worth efforts to protect this land and it's animals.
