At age 8, Carbon came out of semi-retirement to work on an Agility title. He qualified in his first two trials with a third and a fourth placing. He finished his AKC Novice Agility title with a very fast, clean run and a second place.
Carbon was also trained for advanced field work and loved tracking. He cleared both a Heart exam and his last eye exam at age 11 and really didn't start slowing down until much later. Even at almost 15, he could still get around.
His trainability and enthusiasm are the foundation of Blythmoor Labradors. Carbon, a Canadian Champion, retired with 12 AKC (USA) show points, including one major, several major reserves, and several Best of Breed awards. He won the "Versatile Lab" class at the PSLRA Specialty in 1999 at age 10.
I will miss him very much.
